Joel Donato Ching Jacob is the 2018 Scholastic Asian Book Award winner and a 2021 Singapore Book Award Finalist for the young adult fantasy novel "Wing of the Locust." His science fiction-horror story "Artifacts from the Parent" is Editor's Choice for the 2019 Best Asian Short Stories. He was awarded by the Philippine National Commission on Culture and the Arts Ani ng Dangal (Harvest of Honors) for Literature for 2021. He is a Clarion West 2021 cohort.
