Life and Practice

John David “Jandi” Posadas Besinga was summoned into life on the first minute of the last year of the 20th century. As a child, he developed a keen interest in the natural world, primarily with what he had seen and read in books, National Geographic magazines, and encyclopedia. Immediately, dinosaurs and aquatic life became his muses. He took BS Agriculture in the University of the Philippines, Los Baños majoring in Entomology, and graduated in 2020. His career path influenced much of his art and reading, often incorporating insects and the natural life in his artworks, and even his creative writings also inculcated small creatures such as ants. While he spent much of his early years delving into the sciences of life, Jandi aspires to be a writer who will be able to put his beloved insects in the spotlight of Philippine literature.
